LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Opening statements have begun in the trial of a Lansing, Mich. man suspected in the slayings of up to seven women.
Matthew Macon is charged in the August killings of 64-year-old Sandra Eichorn and 41-year-old Karen Delgado-Yates and in an assault on 56-year-old Linda Chapel Jackson.
Police have said Macon is suspected in the slayings of five other women, but the 28-year-old hasn't been charged in those cases.
